About - The Drews' 60 Miler
Every January, when most sensible people are reconsidering their life choices, a different kind of decision is made on Camp Shelby, Mississippi: to toe the line of an annual 60-mile endurance race hosted by MF SGT Drews.
This event isn’t about comfort. It’s about preparation.
Designed to push physical limits and mental toughness, the race exists to make participants run farther, move faster, and train harder—whether they like it or not. The terrain is unforgiving, the miles are relentless, and the lessons learned tend to stick long after the soreness fades. It’s equal parts endurance, discipline, and stubborn refusal to quit.
On 20 January 2026, runners from across the force will once again take on the challenge, testing their grit on one of the Army’s most demanding training grounds.
The Host
The race is hosted by Adam Drews, a Soldier with enthusiasm that far exceeds his athletic ability.
Adam is widely expected to finish dead last this year—assuming he finishes at all. His strengths lie not in speed, endurance, or efficiency, but in perseverance, questionable decision-making, and a willingness to suffer publicly for the benefit of others. Thankfully, what he lacks in athleticism, he almost makes up for in good looks.
Despite these shortcomings, Adam believes deeply in the purpose of the event: building resilience, fostering camaraderie, and reminding everyone that growth happens well outside the comfort zone—usually somewhere around mile 37.
Whether you’re chasing a personal record or just trying not to become a cautionary tale, this event delivers exactly what it promises: a challenge worth remembering.
Welcome to the grind, see you at the start line.
